Urban Hotel Downtown Montreal

Regaining control of a fragmented technology ecosystem

City

Montreal

Type

Commercial – Hospitality

Context and vision

Hôtel d’affaires au centre-ville de Montréal. Espaces communs fortement sollicités, salles de conférence en usage continu. Le problème : un environnement technologique déployé au fil du temps par plusieurs fournisseurs, sans vision d’ensemble.

Overall coherence had weakened, complicating daily operations. The mandate: regain control, integrate targeted adjustments, and establish a sustainable management framework, without disrupting operations or the guest experience.

Integrated solutions

Reprise complète des six salles de conférence et harmonisation audiovisuelle de quinze zones communes. Approche : analyser l’existant en profondeur, intégrer des ajouts précis sans remplacer inutilement.

In the conference rooms, some equipment was added or adjusted to meet current uses and the high expectations of a corporate hospitality context. These interventions unified system behavior and simplified their use, without any visible modification to the environment.

In common areas, audio and video systems were completed and stabilized to ensure a consistent and controlled atmosphere, in continuity with the architecture and interior design. No changes were made to the network layer, with all interventions integrating into the existing infrastructure.

Challenges and coordination

The project presented significant constraints related to taking over a partially documented ecosystem, integrating new elements, and the need to maintain continuous operations. Each intervention had to be precisely planned to avoid any service interruption.

Close coordination with the hotel’s internal teams and various technical stakeholders made it possible to clarify responsibilities, ensure compatibility of additions, and restore more structured system management.

Expected outcome

Day-to-day technical support, system stability, rapid handling of operational issues. Users benefit from simple, reliable, and consistent environments from one space to another. Technology stays in the background, in service of the hospitality experience.
